Are There Any Negative Side Effects From Lip Augmentation?

Lip augmentation is a provenly safe procedure and is likely to generate little to no adverse reaction or dramatic side effects. Patients should expect to experience some swelling and minor bruising and a topical numbing agent can also be used to ensure the lip augmentation procedure is pain-free.

For 24 hours before the procedure, do not take blood thinners, including ibuprofen, aspirin, Vitamin E, alcohol, or fish oil, as these can increase the chances of bruising. And immediately after the procedure, avoid lipstick and placing any firm pressure on the lips. Your lips may be numb for 1-2 hours after the procedure.
