Your BOTOX appointment will begin during your initial consultation with Dr. Schwartz and/or his nurses. At your initial consultation, you will be carefully evaluated for the signs of aging that concern you most, as well as your facial anatomy. Using this information, a customized treatment plan will be designed to smooth your wrinkles in the most natural and effective way possible.

To begin your actual injections, Dr. Schwartz or our other aesthetic providers will apply ice or a numbing cream to the treatment area to ensure your comfort. You will then be asked to contract your facial muscles so the exact location for the medication can be determined to effectively treat your wrinkles and ensure you’re still able to move your face with ease. The BOTOX will then be administered directly into the underlying muscles, with the almost painless treatment lasting approximately ten minutes.

Immediately after your injections, you will be given special instructions to ensure an optimal result. You will be advised to avoid rubbing your face, exercising and laying flat for 4 hours after the procedure. This is to avoid the rare chance of the BOTOX injection shifting to an unwanted location. Other than that, because Botox is a non-invasive treatment with virtually no side effects, you will be encouraged to resume your normal daily routine immediately.
